you played what???

Kubb.... a Viking game.... and I was duped...

I heard Viking game and assumed there would be hunky virile men, throwing massive hunks of wood to prove their manly prows, showing off for us single women....as we lounged drinking wine and mead...

Oh, sorry back to what really happened and not the fantasy that started to play in my daydream... (I'll get back to that daydream later....) but back to what really happened when Paige (yes, my co-conspirator in crime) begged me to come hang with her this weekend...as a matter of fact, she almost twisted my arm off...she said "pleaseEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" it was pathetic and I ditched my non existent plans and went running, because I heard the word "viking"..... I need to have a talk with my imagination, because it and reality are not on the same page....

So......what is Kubb besides a game where you show your children it is OK to throw sticks at other people in the pretense to knock over other pieces of wood, well that is pretty much it, you throw sticks at each other trying to hit the pieces of wood on the ground in front of them. But sometimes you miss.... I saw brusied feet, legs... the occasional bounce that headed for a region that would make the men cry and the woman laugh.... nobody lost an eye that I am aware of... but they did play into the dark, so I am sure I missed some of the best shots of the evening....

And the best part was.... I had fun throwing sticks at other people, oh sorry, I mean at these blocks of wood... for a beginner I did fairly decent, people asked me to be their partner so I guess that means I was good, or better than nothing....or they had, had a few pints of mead....

So if you will excuse me, I am going to get back to the daydream... oh, ya I was watching....
do you mind.....get your own daydream.....

Hi hun..

I have REALLY missed your crazy blog page..I would love to be a fly on the wall....

At the mention of hunky Vikings I am NOT surprised that you agreed to go..I love the thought of being thrown over a shoulder by a hunky, sweaty, six packed body..(although these days they would need a crane due to my extra kilo's *GRIN*)..A Viking with a bad back isn't quite as appealing *GRIN*.So in MY daydream I am a svelte size six *GRIN*..and my Viking...Hey no more.. You're not sharing YOUR day dream *GRIN*.

Love, Light & Blessings,

Sue :)
