To get a Moose or not get a Moose

Samantha is home from college for a short break... She brought home with her a guest from Maine, a nice country gal, that has a great sense of humor and finds us entertaining. Nathan had two friends over for the weekend so the house was full of boisterous laughter, obnoxious behavior, new bodily functions and hungry young adults.

At one point I walked in the living room in the middle of a movie fest and mentioned that there were chocolate/peanut butter cookies in the kitchen, the room emptied in 3 seconds flat...after I picked myself up off the floor, dusted the flip flop prints off my body, I realized next time I better get a cookie before I make an announcement like that(not a crumb, left).

Lil' Miss Maine's parents spoke with me and they were so thankful and appreciative that she had a place to go on break... for them they would have gotten here to get her and gotten home and had to turn around and drive back. I told Samantha to bring kids home that needed a place to stay, just because I enjoy having the house full of people, never thinking about the poor parents that are far away wondering how their kids would fare on break having to leave campus.

Lil' Miss Maine's parents wanted to know what they could do to repay me for my kindness, I of course told them nothing, but since they were from Maine and I love moose how about a baby moose.... I know they are so cute... I just love moose.... So, her mom is an animal control officer and she said she would see what she could do.... HUH...GULP....I can see it now...

I already have a parade every evening as I do chores of chickens, ducks, 3 dogs behind them a stray cat or two, the horse's would join too if not for the electric fence, adding a baby moose to the mayhem, well I can hear dogs barking in protest and chickens and ducks, squawking as baby moose steps on them to get to the head of the line.... Some how I just see Evan, not going for this.... or laughing his butt off and whipping out his phone to video tape it as baby moose flattens me....

But the thought of a baby moose, awwwwwwwwww.... I want one.......I know, I know back to reality...

Good luck with the moose and all....lol
I know just what you mean about a house full of laughter (and empty of cookies). It was just us here, but with Beck home I swear we laughed more this weekend than we have since August. Now we must wait until Thanksgiving....
