Started with a road trip

Saturday we hopped in the car and drove...

Fort Ontario,
Tug Hill,
Fort Stanwix,
Dinner in Seneca Falls.

Joel wanted to check out camping at Flat Rock Inn, this is a place he goes on the snowmobile during the winter and is then an ATV destination in the summer.  He had a hard time placing everything without 3 feet of snow.

The rest of the weekend was spent quilting this baby quilt and working on finishing some other projects.  As well as cleaning and laundry...oh and getting rid of a dead chicken.

This quilt is headed to Joel's friend in Buffalo for his first grandchild.  Its an original by me, just playing with different size tumbling blocks.  It's hard choosing fabrics and coming up with a design for people you have never met.   Hopefully it will be well received.

I finished this cross stitch into a pillow for Samantha.  She had picked out the cute squirrel fabric a month or so ago.  She moves into a new apartment this month so I thought it would be a nice housewarming gift.

back to work Tuesday... sigh...
