it's time to can tomatos

yes, it is.
I am always excited when I start
then at 1am when the canner is still processing away I wonder what the hell am I doing?
I can get sauce on sale for 99 cents.
 rub a dub dub, all you tomato's in the tub...
 time for your steam bath.  Not healthy for you, but oh so healthy for me.
 Next,  two bushels of tomato's through the food mill, let's just say I'm feeling the burn.
 I love my Mehu Maija.  I then add a ton of garlic, onion, peppers with a little of this and a little of that, cook, cook, oh lord I am still cooking it. Then I ended up with 14 quarts of yummy sauce, bring on the pasta!  This is a two day process.  Day one, juicing the tomato's.  Day two, is making the tomato's saucy.

Then there was a phone call, the sweet corn at dads is ready.  So I turned off the sauce for a while and Joel and I hopped in the truck and headed to the mountain.  Where we picked 2 1/2 bushels of corn.  This yielded 12 quarts of corn in the freezer.
